Fr Jacob Siemens

James Siemens (also known as Father Jacob) is an Orthodox priest of the Archdiocese of Russian Orthodox Churches in Western Europe. He took his first degree in Religious Studies and History at the University of Manitoba in 1993, and followed this with a further two degrees in Theology from McGill University in 1996 and 1997 respectively. He entered ordained ministry as an Anglican in 1997 for the West Indies, then served a further five years in the (Anglican) Diocese of Saskatchewan before moving to England in 2003. In 2008, he earned his Ph.D. in Historical Theology, and a post-doctoral licence in 2011, both from the University of Wales. In 2012, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He continues to write both academically and pastorally from his home in Cardiff, Wales. He is married with eight children.
